I love the Matthew Corbett character, and although I loved its prequel better, McCammon never fails to write a great tale with mystery and create the world of the 1700's with so much clarity and research it immerses you into the past. His writing is so superb he could write the phone book and make it interesting. There is no author I am aware of who can write with as large of a canvas as McCammon.
